In this workshop, we will define several mentoring strategies and share the results of research supporting these strategies. Workshop participants will share their experiences implementing these mentoring strategies. During the remainder of the workshop participants will be presented with challenging mentoring cases. Participants will utilize various mentoring strategies to approach mentoring in these situations. This workshop is open to all physics faculty, professionals, and administrators who currently mentor students or have an interest in mentoring and supporting students.
Workshop attendees will have the opportunity to sign up as a mentor in the APS National Mentoring Community.
