APS April Meeting 2020 in Washington, DC is Canceled
APS is working to deliver a virtual meeting
APS is concerned with the health and well-being of its members, attendees, and staff, as well as the Washington, DC community. As a result, we are canceling the in-person APS April Meeting scheduled for April 18-21 and working to deliver an online virtual meeting.
The decision to cancel the in-person meeting was based on evolving public health issues including these most recent developments:
- The World Health Organization assessment on March 11 that characterized COVID-19 as a pandemic
- Increasing concern from our attendees and presenters about their health and well-being
- Social distancing recommendations such as restrictions on travel and mass assembly
- The Washington, DC government’s declaration of both a state of emergency and a public health emergency
Registration Refund Status
APS will be processing the majority of the meeting registration refunds no later than April 17, 2020. Upon processing the refund, it may take up to three days for the credit to appear on the credit card from which the payment was initiated.
In addition, each registrant should receive an email from firstname.lastname@example.org that includes a copy of the refund invoice. It is each registrant’s responsibility to provide a copy of the refund invoice to the party who paid for their registration, as applicable.
If you do not receive an email from email@example.com and/or see the credit on your statement by April 20, 2020, please check https://my.aps.org under My Orders or feel free to contact firstname.lastname@example.org and include the following information so we can investigate:
- Registrant Name
- Registrant ID
- Credit Amount Expected
- Last four of CC (if known)
